Hard codewords reveal one number and use the longest quotes, from 37 to 97 letters with a median of 62. You get more evidence to work with but less help to start.
Find the most repeated word
Look for a number sequence that repeats, such as 7-12-3 appearing twice. Repeated three-number words are very often THE or AND, and solving one gives you three letters across the whole quote.
Lean on long words
Long words have fewer possible readings. Once you have three or four letters of an eight-letter word, there are usually only one or two English words that fit, and each one confirms or rules out several numbers at once.
